Tougher tests shoul prove, that SICOM as a material is inapplicable for a brake – as anticipated by us the SICOM brake discs, -pads, calipers and the add-on parts have passed all tests with distinction.

Long-term and endurance tests ended with pads, which were worn out to the mounting plates, but still intact SICOM brake discs.

The brake disc at a speed (RPM) which corresponds to 100 km/h,cannonaded with iceparts a 50 g. The ice-bullets were fired with a pressure of 3 to 5 bar and reached a velocity of more than 100 km/h. The impact of the ice-bullets conforms to the one, caused by stones and left no damages on the disk and the whole brake system.
