Finally it's done!
We are glad to introduce you to an absolute world novelty:
SICOM
extremely lightweight brake discs, which brake also brake under cold and wet conditions. It's about a SICOM DMC ( Double Matrix Composite) brake system.
As it turned out after a 15 years test phase it is about an absolutely unrivaled product in all respects.
The brake disc consists of Carbon reinforced (consolidated) Carbon- a fiber reinforced composite material, where Carbon fiber in terms of texture, Rovings and shortcutfibers get application, which are bound by a matrix from Carbon and Graphite (Plumbago).
Here you can find a small presentation to the matter DMC (Double Matrix Composite) as pdf.file

The most important advantages:
- high coefficient of friction (adhesion factor) - no oxidation (e.g. at saltwater and high temperatures) - low weight smaller than 800 g per disk (extremely low gyroscopic forces) - incomparable steering behavior resulting from low gyroscopic forces - high heat conductance - high heat capacity - low density - high specific closeness ( strength?) - high specific stiffness - thermo shock resistant - corrosion resistant - electrical conductant - low thermic expansion coefficient - strengthening at high tempererature use - custom made material
